COVID-19 Alert

The week of October 12, 2020

Your health and well-being, as well as our Team Members, health and well-being, is our greatest concern.  At this time, due to the recommendations, and for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus); Northern Nevada Family Dental (NNFD) has decided to follow the Nevada Dental Association's (NDA) recommendations consistent with guidance from the American Dental Association (ADA), other state dental associations, and the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners (NSBDE) to voluntarily suspend nonessential or non-urgent dental care starting, 3/16/20 until further notice. This information is subject to change.

The American Dental Association (ADA) calls upon dentists nationwide to postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. Concentrating on emergency dental care will allow us to care for our emergency Patients and alleviate the burden that dental emergencies would place on the hospital emergency departments. (notice posted 3/17/20)

While we have not had a positive test from any employee or patient, we feel that we are only doing our part to mitigate the spread of the virus to slow the infection rate or "flatten the curve."

Our Team Members will be calling our Patients to reschedule your appointment, and we will do everything that we can to assist you.

If you are experiencing an urgent, or emergency, dental situation, during normal business days and times, please call the office at 775-626-7772 and a NNFD Team Member will assist you.

If you are calling outside of normal business days, and times, and are having a dental emergency, please call the same phone number, 775-626-7772, and someone will attend to your call and you receive a return call to discuss the situation and what options are available to continue to provide to you, our Patient, friend, family member and neighbor, the premier care that we at NNFD, always deliver to our Patients.

If you are not a Patient of Record and, are in need of emergency dental care, please call, 775-626-7772 to discuss your situation so that we may be of service to you in your time of need.

Please do not panic. Plan ahead. The Washoe County Health District would like to remind those needing information about the Coronavirus to call 311 24/7.  You may also call the Washoe County Health District's assessment center during regular business hours at (775) 328-2427. Please only call 911 in an emergent situation.

As our great nation, and world, dynamically learn how to best proceed, please anticipate, in the near future, a communication from us to continue to personally serve and care; not only for your dental health, but for your overall health, as well.  Things continue to evolve. Please visit the American Dental Association (ADA) website regarding the Coronavirus Resource Center for Dentists, for thorough and updated information. There are many links including: www.ada.org/virus www.success.ada.org and NVHealthResponse.nv.gov.

Thank you for your understanding and support at this time.
